Priority-Aware Resource Allocation for 5G mmWave Multicast Broadcast Services

چکیده
5G Multicast Broadcast Services (MBS) are viewed as a promising New Radio (NR) application, standardization begins in 3GPP Release 17. With MBS, one next generation Node B (gNB) delivers data to multiple user equipments (UE) simultaneously, thus improving spectrum efficiency. Millimeter wave (mmWave) beamforming further enhances system performance by focusing signals dedicated direction. However, despite the advantages, we identify three issues of multicast with techniques. First, link directionality causes gNB transmit over beams sequentially, resulting combinatorial resource allocation problem. Confronting this beam scheduling issue, develop an optimization algorithm that obtains optimal solution polynomial time. Second, UEs may falsely report their valuations resources gain more utility. Under scenario, cannot allocate those need due lack accurate UE information. Therefore, propose Vickrey–Clarke–Groves (VCG) auction-based mechanism incentivize reveal truthfully. This guarantees efficiency and maximizes social welfare. Third, standards allow for different priorities flows, video content providers distinguish between ordinary premium UEs, take priority into account. In regard, extend valuation-based multi-priority one. Finally, mathematical analysis validates some desirable properties proposed scheme, such incentive-compatibility. Simulation results also justify our superior MBS compared other schemes.

Channel-aware adaptive resource allocation for multicast and unicast services in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing systems
To support the multicast and unicast services in the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system simultaneously, a channel-aware adaptive resource allocation algorithm is proposed to maximise the total throughput of the unicast service while guaranteeing the required quality of service (QoS) for the multicast service. The two-step optimisation scheme is developed to solve the problem base...
متن کاملSession-Aware Popularity Resource Allocation for Assured Differentiated Services
Differentiated Service networks (DS) are fair in the way that different types of traffic can be associated to different network services, and so to different quality levels. However, fairness among flows sharing the same service may not be provided. Our goal is to study fairness between multirate multimedia sessions for an assured DS service, in a multicast network environment. To achieve this ...

The fifth generation (5G) cellular networks are expected to provide wide variety of high rate (i.e., 300 Mbps and 60 Mbps in downlink and uplink, respectively, in 95 percent of locations and time [1]) multimedia services. The 5G communication platform is seen as a global unified standard with seamless connectivity among existing standards, e.g., High Speed Packet Access (HSPA), Long Term Evolut...
متن کاملProficient Resource Allocation for Wireless Multicast
In this paper, we propose a bandwidth-efficient multicast mechanism for heterogeneous wireless networks. We reduce the bandwidth cost of an l (IP) multicast tree by adaptively selecting the cell and the wireless technology for each mobile host to join the multicast group. Our mechanism enables more mobile hosts to cluster together and leads to the use of fewer cells to save the scarce wireless ...
متن کاملOptimal Resource Allocation for Homogeneous Wireless Multicast
Abstract— Multicast-based data communication is an efficient communication scheme especially in multihop ad hoc networks where the MAC layer is based on one-hop broadcast from one source to multiple receivers. In this paper, we address the problem of resource allocation for a set of homogeneous multicast sessions over multihop wireless networks. We propose an iterative algorithm that achieves t...
